If I'm moving a D and signing Krug, I am trading Klingberg for Drouin and keeping Lindell as he is a wayyyyyyyy better defensman then Klingberg. PLus, Lindell has a longer term reasonable cap hit and Klingberg will be getting a bump in two seasons.

Im also buying out Pavelski over Benn as Jamie still plays like a top 6 forward. Pavelski is over the hill and was a poor move by Nill. He doesnt align with the Stars system of stout D to quick offense.

I'm very surprised to hear that stars fans think that Lindell is better than Klingberg, because I'd disagree from an NHL fan view as opposed to a Stars fan view. If that's the case, MTL isn't the right fit, as they really need LHD not RHD

I see a lot of trades on here with Lindell and I just simply don't understand it. He is so so good and Klingberg is Karlsson Lite. Im moving Klingberg and getting a nice return to fill other holes if I am going after a guy like Krug or another top pairing d-man. Watch what Lindell did to the top line for Nashville last year in the playoffs. He reminds me of a prime Brent seabrook or Hjalmarsson and those guys you win cups with. Klingberg is a poor mans Karlsson or Brian Campbell.

One of many reasons that I can’t stand my fan base. It’s baffling that Stars fans hate Klingberg as much as they do. He’s one of two Stars defenseman that can actually move the puck. His offense took a bit of a hit this year, but you can blame a lot of that on the system the Stars’ coaches have implemented. Scoring has been down across the board for Dallas. Bring in a coach with a system that’s more conducive to the NHL, and his offensive numbers will go back to normal. Add on to that the fact that he’s on one of the NHL’s best contracts and the fact that he’s ostracized by Stars fans is absolutely ludicrous.

that's kinda what I was thinking. He's a top 10 RHD, Lindell doesn't come close to the top 10 LHD
