Sign Trade NYR ANA MTL NYI

Created by: Lbb
Team: 2020-21 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 19, 2020
Published: Apr. 19, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Praying for two CBO's like 2013-14. This team would give us a shot at the playoffs. 21.3m cap for P&H . Room for Hoglander and Podzolzin, if they are good enough, both at only 925,000. 9 Dmen someone would have to go somewhere. Good situation to be in, lots of competition. More depth, size and experience on Defence. ANA only has 3 D under contract for next year and at 1.5 Benn would give them an experienced 5 - 6th Dman. MTL needs 3 more forwards and Mott is fast, good defensively and can kill penalties. For a 7th round pick I think he would fit in well there. If not, he only has a 1 year contract. NYR only have Zianejad, Strome and a 20 yr. old Chytil at center. Sutter would give them an experienced Center who can play wing if need be. They get a 3rd for a 7th pick and we pay 1m of his contract. They don't have to resign him next year if it doesn't work out.

Lindholm Manson Fowler Guddy Mahura, plus Djoos Larsson and Guhle are RFA's, ANA certainly doesn't need another LHD

TO, there is over 21 million left in cap space for next year. I think that will cover it. Toronto has 9 million and must sign 4 forwards and 3 defencemen. Good Luck. AFO, then we send him to the minors and still would be under the cap, no biggy. Yoj, I only signed them because I didn't know how to trade them without signing them. I would have preferred to just trade their rights. Any comment on the value of the trades ?

Isles have to cut cap, not add more players buried in the AHL.

Not counting Leivo as he is UFA.

I don’t mind sutter as a player but the rangers can’t take him on even with the mill retained. Salary would have to be going back to van.

I don't see where you get this figure. The only hits I see coming off the roster in 2021 are Pearson, Martin, Edler and Tryamkin, for a total of $13.25 million, plus Baertschi, Benn, Spooner and Sutter, who aggregate another $3.9 million, for a grand total of $17.15 million. Replacing the 4 active players alone will cost at least $3.15 million, which leaves $14 million for Pettersson, Hughes and Demko. You probably won't have any problem with that much room, especially since the cap will probably rise, but I think you should check your math again.

Montreal love having 7th rounders but I wouldn't mind taking that Motte with the team ... Don't know but maybe we'd just offersheet him at this point for free or trade for the famous "future considerations".
