Ok looking at other great goal scorers who still preformed well after their 34th bday this is the list Ovie needs to match or do better.
J. Bucyk = 244
B. Hull = 187
P. Esposito = 184
M. Gartner = 170

I have a new goal scoring hero J. Bucyk. The oldest 50 goal scorer in NHL history, at 35 years old he hit 51. His twilight seasons were better than his prime years. Johnny Bucyk is the G.O.A.T. of old timers.

The biggest thing that sucks is that Ovi had to deal with 1.5 lockouts and a pandemic shortened season

I think he wasn't coming over his rookie season, but still, half a lockout then missing 13 to a pandemic is 47 total, which is 20-30 goals probably, which can be huge by the end.

Gretzky scored 46 goals the Oilers in the last WHA season. His total is 940. Howe 975 with his WHA.

And if your grandmother had wheels she'd be a bicycle... WHA isn't relevant. Might as well also include Juniors, and Peewee, etc.

Ovi had 55 goals in his time in the KHL, should we count those too?

In the '70's the WHA teams were just as legit teams as the 6 NHL expansion teams were. The '70-'80's hockey was disgustingly awful.
