Why would he turn town 7.5 million that Tampa couldn't offer? Only other team I see trying it is MTL.

Why would any GM be dumb enough to offer him more then Provorov? Serg is good but not as good as Provorov, Werenski, or McAvoy. Especially Melnyk of all people

And Sergachev probably decline an offer coming from MTL ( because he got traded )

Trade would be tough on Tampa's win now mentality, but having Sergachev, Brannstrom and Chabot would be the makings of a great defense core. I guess it comes down to whether Tampa is even open to entertaining offers on Sergachev.

I'm not sold that Sergachev is the piece Ottawa needs for its blueline, especially at a big ticket price like that. Cernak fits the need better, and would cost a fraction of this in terms of both the trade itself, and the contract he would demand.

Name me one reason he'd leave a cup contender in Tampa, For the likes of Ottawa. And zero chance of Ottawa getting both #2 and #3 the odds are staked against it.

ummm for the contract he deserves? Also Tampa's window has a few years left, Ottawa's window starts in 2021 and should be 5-10 years considering over 50 percent of their roster will be 23 or under to start the year next year.

And zero chance? Really? That doesn't make much sense.
