Adding Petro to the defense corp would be amazing, but I'd be hesitant because you're gonna need to pay Heiskanen and he'll probably be looking for 6 million plus on a long term deal. (something similar to the Provorov contract which is 6.5 mil) Plus defense wasn't an issue this year, it was definitely scoring.

I think so, they'd be able to move the puck and transition extremely well while being defensively sound. Buffalo trade is interesting I like the swap of Thompson and Honka, gives them each a new start.

Just throwing in my 2 cents here. The state of the U.S. will have an impact on Pietrangelo's decision for his future, but perhaps more importantly, the future of his family. If I had to guess, I would think he signs with a Canadian team after he hits UFA and will end up signing with the Winnipeg Jets.
