You shouldn't trade a guy like Trouba when you just signed him to an 8 year deal recently

I agree it's a bad look, but if NYR see him as being behind Fox and DeAngelo, it probably makes sense to move him now, rather than playing him in a lesser role and having his value plummet.

He doesn’t have much value as it is, if they can trade him they should.

Sure. What assets would you think is fair to give to us for taking him off your hands?

We don't actually see it that way. He's not a cap dump. He's a 1D. What's amazing is that the Rangers now have 3 1D's on the Right Side. But we'll trade him to you so you can have your pairing with Smith for the next 6 years.

Most likely some combo of Bratt/Anderson + Wood + 2nd. We know the cap is not a problem for you.

Keep him, shift DeAngelo to the left when Nils is ready, have the best right side D in the league for the next 7 years

They have Subban and Severson already. Would be a big waste for NJ to pay over $20M for just their RHDs lol.

It's looks like something that Seattle would abuse.

Nope. Next year is his third season, meaning that he's eligible.

Unless you move Lindell to bring up Harley in 21-22

It's an option, but I don't think we should. It's hard to find as good and stable defensive d-men as him... I'd probably move Klingberg before him as his contract is closer to expiring.

Depends on the return, really.
