I believe he will. Its his contract year and he understands he's at best a 6th dman in Edmonton, more likely a 7th dman because Jones, Lagesson, and Bouchard will be given that ice time. If he wants to earn another NHL contract he'll need to play somewhere that will actually use him. Just my opinion

Zajac won’t waive his NTC. He said it before the deadline. He’s not going anywhere

I don't see him going back. He wouldn't have wasted a year in Finland if he wasn't done with Oilers for good.

He has to submit a 15-team no-go list, and it's possible New Jersey might be one of the teams he is not interested in. I think if Holland wants to move him he will look for the best possible fit, and then bring the deal to Russell. As an aging player with a reduced role, he's going to want to consider a number of factors and may, or may not amend his list if he feels it's in his best interest to do so.

I wouldn't be interested in there. I would be interested in Florida though so I can golf all year. But honestly for Russel, he wants to stay around Alberta or at least a direct flight from here so he is close to home is what I hear.

His salary will be $1,500,000, the least amount of annual salary under his current deal. The tax advantage in Florida might be attractive to him. Calgary is closest to home for him, and there are direct flights to quite a few NHL cities. Miami isn't one of them though.
