Description

Realistically a CBO is not going to happen. If not, here is the roster and signings we are looking at. If a CBO doesn't happen and Shaw doesn't retire, from a cap compliance perspective, there is not much we can do.

Also think these lineups are pretty accurate, feel free to chime in if you don't agree.

I agree, I really liked the Nylander Dach Kane line at the end of the season

There wasn’t much to feel excited about TBH. It was Kane carrying two useless guys.

I agree. This is very accurate if there is no CBO as well as Shaw and Seabrook playing. Although, I do think Smith and Maatta could be traded somewhere, not for much. Retain on Smith if need be so that 1 mil doesn't carry over the following year as well. Maybe sign Koekkoek so Carlsson isn't the 7th man, getting no games played for his development.

Why don't you think a CBO is going to happen? I would say that if the cap doesn't increase or if it decreases it is more likely than not that teams get one.

Not true. It was just reported that at a NHL owners meeting the idea was floated but not talked about seriously. Multiple inside sources said it's not off the table but don't bet on a CBO.

Quite realistic. I think Strome gets 3 years and Kubalik gets 2. I’m thinking Maatta could be dealt for picks, his salary isn’t that bad and there are teams that need help on D.
