_______________________________________________________________________________________________

2021-2022 TEAM ROSTER [Lines & Pairings]

FORWARDS :
~ Line #1A ------- 59 - 87 - 67 --------- This top line continues to be the best line in NHL
~ Line #1B ------- 97 - 71 - 7 ---------- Geno & [7-Larkin] share Center duties w/ Geno's countryman - Gusev signing to create a scary line
~ Line #3A ------- 19 - 25 - 17 --------- [25-Roslovic] is becoming a great young C w/ [2] 2nd line type wingers, make this a dominate 3rd line
~ Line #3B ------- 53 - 15 - 13 --------- [15-Lowry] , Tanev, & Blueger continue to be the most Pain in the Arse 4th line

- Alt. 3rd Line ------- 19 - 15 - 25/17 ----- [15-Lowry] C's for big faceoff's or Defensive shut-down situations [25-Roslovic]
~ H/S (backups) ---- 41 - 37 ------- Glendening & Lafferty are both R-H Centers that can play wing too - Perfect 13th Forwards

- AHL Depth {1st Call-Ups} ------- C- J. DeLa Rose #61 / LW- B. Perlini #29 / RW- J. Hayden #42 / LW- D. O'Conner / LW- K. Bjorkqvist #20 / C/LW- J. Bellerive #64
- Young Guys Coming -------------- LW- S. Poulin #22 / RW- N. Lagare #34

"FORWARD's BREAKDOWN"
***** ~ This Top 9 is just scary dumb insane ~~ Goat87, Geno, Guentzel, Rakell, Larkin, Gusev, Roslovic, McCanner, Rusty, & Lowry - Nobody comes close to that Top 9 in NHL.

~ 87- Sid & 71- Geno - are still producing at a scary pace (bc of the players around them) even at 33 & 34 yrs old.
*** But NO more back to back games for them starting this season. [Hold them to 65-70 games] - I have the depth (especially C depth) to do it.

********* THE LARKIN GET - I always have loved Larkin's game, his skill, & his Elite speed. PLUS the way he plays the game w/ a toughness.
- If Larkin comes here w/ Sid & Geno to learn from - There is no level he couldn't get to, he becomes a Top 5-7 player here.
** I would bet he explodes w/ a 90+ point season on a stacked team like this.
________________________________________________________________________________________________

DEFENSE :
- Pair #1 ------ 8 - 58 ---------- Still one of the best Top pairs in NHL
- Pair #2 ------ 28 - 6 ---------- Pettersson is great by now & Marino takes game to a Top level
- Pair #3 ------ 76 - 10 --------- Mahura & Joki are playing like Top 4 D-men at this point

- H/S (back-ups) ------- 73 - 56 ----- [56-Juulsen] is a fav of mine & love the kid - [73-POJ] takes that next step
- AHL Depth {1st Call-ups} ------- RHD- M. Bowey #21 / LHD- I. McCoshen #26 / RHD- R. Mckeown #55 / LHD- N. Almeri #79

"D-men BREAKDOWN"
****** ~ This is the best [6] D-men pairs in NHL - The ability to pass, move, & play the puck w/ this Top 6 makes this team great.
+++ Having [2] of the best LHD Defensive D-men in 8 & 28
_______________________________________________________________________________________________

GOALIES :
~ #1A- G- Jarry #35 --------- By this time he is a Top Goalie in NHL
~ #1B- G- Hill #31 ----------- I am a Huge Adin Hill fan & after 1yr in AHL as 3rd Goalie, he grabs the "back-up" spot

- #3- G- Reimer#47 -------- Bring him in to challenge Hill -
- #3- G- Stolarz #32 -------- IDK why but I have always like Stolarz a lot.
________________________________________________________________________________________________

************* LOOKING FORWARD TO THE [2022-2023] Pittsburgh Penguins ******************

~ 1- Re-Sign Letang to a [2-3] yr - "Team Friendly" Deal - If he is still healthy, to have him finish w/ Sid bc w/ his speed he could prob play 25min per nite till he is 40yrs old.

~ 2- Re- Sign Ricardo Rakell - THIS IS A MUST

~ 3- Try to get Geno to sign for at least [1] more yr before heading to Russia - His new linemates of Gusev & Larkin, prob sway him to stay for a cheap deal

~ 4- Lock up or Extend - RFA's - C- J. Roslovic #25 / G- A. Hill #31 / LHD- POJ #73 / RHD- N. Juulsen #56

~ 5- Mite need to let Rusty go in UFA

~ 6- Young Guys that start to get time in line-up :
LW- S. Poulin #22 ---------- After tearing up the AHL, he pushes for NHL time
RW- N. Lagare #34 ---------- Maybe by half way point he is pushing for time in NHL
LW- K. Bjorkqvist #20 ------ This dude has bottom 6 Great player, written all over him.
C/LW- J. Bellerive #64 ------ I am rooting for this kid
LW- D. O'Conner ----------- Not sure yet till i see him as a pro.
LHD- N. Almari #79 -------- He will be a 10yr bottom pair player
LHD- C. Phillips -------------- The kid gets no respect from Prospect rankings, but IMO - he will be a Top 4 D-man.

6.
PIT
  1. Eliasson, Jesper [Reserve List]
  2. Larkin, Dylan
  3. 2021 3rd round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
~ Larkin has another average year on another bad Detroit team & finally demands a trade after [6] losing seasons.

~ IMO, Larkin is a legit #1 C or a very good #2 C, that would explode on a good team like this Pens team.

* GMJR pulls off 1 last Great thievery trade to set - up the Pens w/ a Geno Re-placement going forward.
DET
  1. Hållander, Filip
  2. Rodrigues, Evan
  3. Zucker, Jason
  4. 2021 1st round pick (PIT)
  5. 2022 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
*2022 - 2nd Rdr = CONDITIONAL PICK*
~ Pick becomes 2022 - 1st Rdr if Pens win Stanley Cup in 21'-22' Season.
OR
~ If Pens miss Playoffs in 21'-22' for the 16th strait year, Pick returns to Pens.

~ Zucker's value is sky high at this point w/ 2 seasons of 25+ goals & 60+ Points. After [1 & 1/2 seasons] w/ 87 or 71 as C + 2- big playoff runs.
7.
PIT
  1. Juulsen, Noah [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
~ Juulsen falls out of favor in MTL & gets passed up by younger RHD in system.

- I still really like Juulsen, comes to PIT & fellow French-Canadian RHD-man (that wears #58 too) - mentors him
MTL
  1. Angello, Anthony
Additional Details:
- Angello is a big smart depth NHL player at this point

Highly doubt Wings trade the next captain. You do know he is a hometown guy and saw the rise of the Wings. He has Yzerman to show what a team can become from the ashes to the top. I highly doubt he wants to leave his hometown team and the the team he gre up enjoying.

Once again, solid logic and in-depth knowledge on display. I agree that if Geno does go home early to mother Russia that the pens could use the 9.5M and should add an impact player. With GOAT87, the window isn’t shut until it’s shut.

I totally agree ... I think Sid will be a Top 5 player till he is 36.... Just like Joe Sakic was late in career
