Why not upgrade your bottom-6 and backup goalie? You have over $7M in cap space - and over $9M if a CBO is offered.

Silferberg contract isn’t very good. They would be getting a young RD back while dumping a contract that looks bad now because the team isn’t very good. Also Kris Russell only has 2 years left. Another thing is that they also get a couple of draft picks. They actually over time gain cap space considering the fact that silferberg has 5 years left and Benning has 1 and Russell has 2
