I'm not projecting the lineup here, solely looking at potential trades. obviously not all of these moves would happen and the roster would be filled out with rookies, FA's, etc.

Clifton doesn't need a change of scenery. Just needs to get back to his game and give his best if he wants to stay in the lineup.
Also, likely exposed for the expansion draft if Moore is gone. Heard he might need a change of scenery, maybe NJ should try to bring him back, where it worked...

Not sure where Zacha could fit.

I don't think that's wishful thinking at all... I don't think I'd trade Butcher for Tippet 1 for 1 as NJ, A. I really like Butcher, and B. Tippet isn't that good, a lot of his production is on the PP, like Mike Hoffman... who he's probably replacing next year lol, but I wouldn't trade Butcher for Hoffman

Um I actually dont hate this deal from the sharks side. It all would depend on whos on the board at 17 though. If someone like Holloway or Mercer fell then sharks are all over this deal

was going for mostly picks and prospects coming back for NJ, and Boston doesn't have much to offer up in that regard.

yeah you never know who might slip on draft day, but even if no one does there will be some pretty good options there at 17. I think it's important for us to get some picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds if possible.

Butcher is an average NHL defenceman at best, FLA need help on the blue line so getting him at 1.8M for 3 years is nice. "Tippett isn't that good" ? come on man, he would instantly be NJ's top forward prospect. point per game in the AHL as a 21 year old is not easy to do, what's not to like about his game? elite shot, great hands, excellent speed, good vision, has some size and isn't afraid to use it... perfect winger of the future for Hughes. getting him for a middle pairing D man would be a steal.

Palm only has one yr left and will be one year older now so his value has gone down from TDL. Heard on these boards that last TDL NJ wanted B's 1st pick + other(s)...

* So it's likely a second (2021) and one of Vaak or Frederic or Senyshyn or Zboril or JFK (a late 5th to 7th pick could be added to close it out if need be).

yeah Devils were moronic not to move him last deadline, I was not happy lol. If I'm shipping him to Boston I'm asking for Studnicka and a late pick, if not I'll take Vaakanainen and a 2nd. That said I would feel pretty confident that there would be better offers on the table from other teams, especially if any of them are willing to work out an extension.

Won't get Stud sorry. He's ripping it up in the AHL and is going to fill the key C-position as the core ages.
Vaak and a 3rd you might have a deal BUT Palm has to agree to an extension so at least he's around for more than 1yr...

Sure.
Palms will be vet Fwd the team will need to lean on. If not for nico Palms is Capt.
His goals will be needed for a young growing team. A couple making beans from Edm, no Thx. It's a PR nightmare also, unless Palms wants out we take a jersey guy scoring almost 30 per yr x3 and move on?
Woods is worth more, 5th rounders make the pro level at how many %? He could go to Buf for a fostered player. I'd keep him myself.
Butcher. If you say Tipp is on fire I believe you. But do is Bracco from Tor and he sucks, won't ever be more than a fourth liner if that. Tipp has size so maybe it's helpful. I see him going to Montreal with and add for something. Montreal needs LHD like us. If we move him, something Zadorov has to be comin this way.
Van 1st, if it stays, try and get Quinn, if not it's unprotected, makes no sense to move it.
I'd use our cap space to take on a bad contract or two and take advantage of flat cap. Ex. Van pick and Sven for peanuts.
Zacha is going to be Zajac replacement. He's already got great pk #s. He's just not the scorer we wanted at 6OA his draft yr. Had a great bunch of games with Goose too. I like Clifton but not for PZ.

I'd shot for the fences and go for a Sergachev etc. Give our #10OA from AZ and add from there. Hope that our pick at 6 goes up and get a stutzle/drysdale caliber player. But that's just me.
