Quoting: TMLSage
2021 4th round pick (OTT)
Colin Wilson
Jon Merill
Per Bog-
Colin Wilson is unable to be traded as he retired in real life. Typically a player doesnt retire while he is under contract (hence LTIR... hossa, savard, horton etc.). Wilson being retired in real life means you cannot trade the player until he signs a contract again or the deal you signed him to in game runs out. You are welcome to leave him on LTIR but you cannot trade a player that has actually retired. And before you say "whats the difference if he is on LTIR on my team or another team" YOU signed the contract... he didnt sign one in real life. YOU are stuck with it until something changes. Look at what philly did with niskanen. He was healthy, had a contract, retired, and now he's "suspended without pay" they still have to keep his contract on the books until it runs out.
Florida is fine doing jon merill for the 4th if you are still interested. But Colorado is stuck with Colin Wilson until he signs IRL or the contract you signed him to runs out.
EDIT: Colorado has decided to keep merill. Trade reversed all assets unfrozen.
