Shouldn't they use any potential CBO on one of Price or Weber?

It would look really bad, but I would do it on Price

Yeah.... I've gotta agree, the optics there would not be great but, sometimes you've just got to admit to making a mistake and move forward. Just my opinion anyways.

Wow, you’re smart. Let’s buyout the 2 best players in our organization instead of the guy that was barely a top 6 defenseman in the AHL last year, and is making $4.6 million.

Think about that statement for a minute. Are they really that?

I hope that they don't buy out Price to be honest. I like the idea of watching the Habs suffer with that contract for many, many years to come.

I guess you could argue that Petry/Danault are as good as them, but that still doesn’t mean we should buy them out. And go ahead thinking the Canadiens will suffer because of Price, if it eases your small mind.

I also like watching Maple Leaf fans that think with a shrinking salary cap they can pay $40 million to 4 players and actually win. LOVE that defense! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Why does this amazing franchise have to have such a horrible fan base? Why do so many hateful, negative people have to pretend to like this team. If you’re going to root for a team, root for them. If you’re going to pretend to like them, but then trash them at every opportunity, get lost.

Even if Price wasn’t worth his contract, you’re still paying $36 million dollars over the next 6 years to a player that isn’t playing for you. Price is integral to the fabric of this team, on and off the ice. He is the face of this franchise. You can’t get rid of him just because you think he’s making a bit more than you think he should. Without him we’d have a 20 year old kid and an ok AHL starter in net. It doesn’t matter how much cap space we save, if we bought out Price, the habs won’t have a chance of winning for a long time.

I like the idea of watching Anderson and Reilly walking because Dubas will give too much money to irrelevant players.
