I think the Leafs pass. Gonna need more if you want Kapanen. Kerfoot and/or Johnsson and/or Dermott might make some more sense.

Personally, I don’t want any of the other players you mentioned. I don’t think you get much more in a Kap for Murphy swap.

Seabs will not be on the LTIR, but if he were we would keep Murphy.

Kap isn't worth more then Murphy, no way. Murphy is a top 2 or 3 defense player on both the leafs and hawks, and kap is not a top 3 winger on either team and not even top 4 winger on the hawks (kane, saad, kubalik, debrincat all much better then Kap). So not sure why you wouldn't think a top line or at worse 2nd line D guy doesn't return a at best a 2nd line winger and realistically a 3rd line winger.
