Stutzle played against mens where Byfield only in the OHL which makes Stutzle more NHL ready but the best would be to wait some time with Stutz or at least start him on a third line or maybe as a winger so he can be mentored by someone inside the team for some time.
All in all I'd keep him in Germany one year.

Yah it can never hurt to give him another year of development whether thats back in Germany or in the AHL.

Better to stay in Germany you won't burn an ELC year. The only plus side in the AHL is that he'll be against a more physical opposition so he'll be better prepared for the big league but ... That's not much of a plus side.
