Does this mean he's coming to NA next season? I thought he was staying in Finland for 20-21?

The NHL has a transfer agreement with Liiga. I'm not sure if that applies to the AHL also but if it does I'm pretty sure he can void his Liiga contract if he wants to come to NA for next season

Makes sense for him to come to NA then. Maybe spend a year in the AHL. He's already proven he can be dominant in Liiga.

Just realized the deal has a European assignment clause so I guess that means he will likely start the season in North America (AHL) and may go back to Liiga depending on how he adjusts
