Don't see Calgary doing that

Bennett and Weal get about the same in terms of points but Bennett is 5 years younger

yes but the need space they save 1,000,000 plus gain futures and finally get that right shot they have been crying for in their bottom 6 for the last 3 years so not sure if they do it but definitely not out of the realm of possibility

I really like the 1st trade, but I don't think CLBs' fans will...

For me it depends on Ikonen.

Anderson= 2nd (would prefer a higher one as STL will be low)
Murray= Ikonen and 3rd (again it depends on the prospects potential)
Kulak=no value as a player to even our contracts, it’s doubtful he sees anytime in Columbus as we have 6 other LHD with NHL experience.

I’d probably make the trade and flip Kulak for another pick if possible.

Ikonen is a very interesting prospect but i doubt that any team will trade for him at the moment. He basically miss the last 2 season, having played 13 games in the end of last season in Liiga and had some success with 10 points. He was supposed to play a big role this year but torn is acl the last game of training camp. And now he have sign for 2 more years with Kalpa in Liiga. If he can stay healthy and find is game i think he will rise again on the Montreal prospect list.

I'd kind of agree, except that I don't have that kind of faith in Ikonen. Then again, my usual reaction to seeing a Finnish prospect that's a few years past draft being traded to us is "oh, hey, look at that, someone remembered that Kekalainen is from Finland and thought that'd be a deciding factor" - i.e. I put it up there with attempts to make Montreal accept value for fourth-liners that just happen to be francophones. wink
