IMO they should draft Rossi... I mean, they already have Seider and Hronek as their top 2 RD-man...

So yeah, unless Drysdale can play on his off side full time, they should pick Rossi. Having him, Veleno and of course Larkin at C would be wicked

Not sure why you wouldnt take Rossi with so little center depth, already having Hronek and Seider, and next year being a defense heavy draft

I like Rossi with that pick for the same reason. But can either Hronek or Seider be a top pair dman on a contender? Can Drysdale? I don't know enough about Drysdale to say either way. I'm a Wings fan and I do like Hronek a lot but I'm not sure he's a top pair defenseman.

Seider will be and Hronek will be the perfect number 2 so...

Seider can, especially with a really solid second pair RD behind him... The pens won a cup giving Mark Striet significant minutes...

Seider hasn’t shown anything offensively and Hronek is not a top pair defenseman. Drysdale will be a top line RHD in the NHL. Rossi or Perfetti could very well be the pick here but I think Yzerman wants to build from the blue line out.

Both Seider and Hronek can play LD So getting Drysdale doesn't matter. But i do agree that at #4 Marco Rossi makes far more sense.

Drysdale is overrated. Sure, he's the best defenseman in this draft, but that doesn't mean he should be selected in the top 5. He's nowhere near as good of a prospect as Byram was last season.

I appreciate the vote of confidence but that Pittsburgh team was REALLY GOOD. As a Detroit fan it is a little hard for me to praise Pittsburgh but Mark StrietI was 39 when Pittsburgh won that cup and that only helps prove how good that team was. Now I do think Seider will be very good but 2g & 22a in 49 games in the AHL puts him outside the top 50 in scoring for defenseman and he is having the best season he has had scoring wise. Which helps Big_Daddy69's point he has never been very offensive and in todays NHL can you really be a 1st pair guy with out being good offensively. To score now you do need 4 and sometimes all 5 players in the rush. Defensive Dmen are still very much needed but when you look at the playoff teams they all have a couple players that are very good offensively. That why I'm skeptical that he is a first pair guy

A. Pesce Dumo Hammer, both Lindholm and Manson are defense minded and play on (or have played on) the first pair, Parayko will Pietro walks, it's certainly not impossible, plus I think you underrate his offense, he was one of the 3ish youngest players in the AHL, I can't think of anyone else in their D+1 yr in the A last year, but there were probably a few, and it was his first year in NA... And offensive instincts are easier to teach than defensive instincts, he makes a good enough first pass, he can move play out of his zone well enough at 19

You are right the defensive side of the game is the hardest part to teach. I'm probably too skeptical and negative but this is Detroit and The Lions haven't won a playoff game in like 30 years.

The Lions 😂😂

At least the wings have good management and have a plan... I can guarentee they will not be stuck in mediocrity...
