Ideal draft scenario

Description
In my opinion the Hawks need two first round picks to address their weaknesses. Hawks need a speedy two way scoring winger and a goalie. For that I chose Jan Myska and yaraslav Askorov. Myska is a very underrated prospect. He’s lightening fast, has good hands and plays hard at all ends of the ice. His game has been proven effect against men since he started the season playing in the Czech league before moving to the OHL where he also dominated. Askorov has shown that he is the best goalie of the draft and a potential franchise goalie. Despite a poor showing at the JWC he has been a beast in the VHL and even got a game in the KHL. For those who say We should give lankinen a chance I totally agree. Askorov isn’t going to be ready for at least another year or two giving lankinen plenty of time to prove himself.

I think DeHaan played great for the hawks but not for his salary. Also hawks have so much depth at D I rather give a prospect a chance to shine.

This is very likely to be true, but I will say this...not all prospect pan out and the drafting in the teens area is also far from a guarantee......and when it comes to CGY drafting...this probably goes double. Sorry CGY fans, but it's pretty true.

If we did pick up a mid first I think Dylan Holloway would be someone to keep an eye on. He's fast and physical with first line upside as well. We need some more guys who arent afraid to get their hands dirty.

If you throw out the games Strome played out on the wing, he's a statistically-sound, point-per-game 2C. I feel like that should be able to fetch #15, no matter how deep a draft is.
