CBO Approach

Description
I was thinking about this this morning. If teams are awarded a CBO, what would the Leafs approach be? I don't recall ever seeing an ACGM explore this and I am curious what leafs fans think. I basically signed the players for deals I have seen other people suggest and the trade of Kapanen was just to free up the space as either Kap or Johnssen are likely gone.

Kapanen is the best cost-efficient depth for the RW. I think you can move Johnsson or Kerfoot, but if you move Kapanen it would have to be a solid player + a pick.

You disregarded the whole point of the AGM, but noted, thank you.

But I don't think he will need to be moved. I think he is held onto for a year or two until Robertson and Korshkov can fill the 3rd line and only then is he shipped out. I don't see him going anywhere until then.

I’ve seen people trade bad contracts to the Leafs with some other picks or prospects. The Leafs use their CBO on the bad contract and get a couple futures out of it
