Absolutely not. Tavares might be overpayed, but he wanted to be in Toronto. If you buy him out, no one will want to come to Toronto.

That makes no sense. He is still an elite player one year removed from an almost 50 goal season. That's almost like saying to buy Ovechkin or Crosby out. (key word almost)

Mikhey isn't getting over $2 million, if his agent request that money Dubas would probably say ok, go back to the KHL, we already signed another Russian to take your spot.

I could see Mikheyev getting 2 mil, he’s the leafs second best left wing, to Hyman.
