Alderson being done was part of the plan. The plan has been that it would be Nilsson/Hoberg for 2020/21 ever since they got Nilsson.

Trading Nilly for Andersen makes no sense, and trading Hogberg makes no sense at all. Hog was our best goalie this year, and he could be part of the solution for the future in net (probably as more of a backup than a starter).

gustavson is the futur and from what I Watch hogberg was not as good as you describe him

Don't like these trades for the Sens, they need to stay the course and keep building for the future.

Gustavson was shaky this year, should rebound. Hogberg was actually really good this year. Makes no sense to trade him. Hoffman has horrible character, no team wants him, he and his fiancé caused chaos in the Senators' locker room which is probably what caused the entire team to fall apart, and there is no need for Taylor Hall. I'd rather have Formenton, alone, than Dougie Hamilton, let alone all the other assets you gave away for him. Formenton is already amazing, even as a rookie in the AHL, and his speed will look incredible with the Sens, Ottawa would not give him away for that.

Even Daccord was better so

And I know it's just for fun but will all young players coming up, they don't need any UFAs

They're in the system already, Bernard-Docker and Thomson. For now Ottawa got Zub without having to send any assets away.

He had one really bad game coming In cold against Anaheim after being in Sweden for a family emergency, and that really tanked his stats. Beyond that he was rock solid, and gave the team a chance to win every night. He was a .910 goalie before that last game. Easily the best goalie in Ottawa.

Also I think Gus has been passed by Daccord easily. Joey Daccord looks great, and Gus hasn't fully asserted himself in the AHL yet.

Yeah there are Zub, Zaitsev, and Jaros as RD for now, maybe Hainsey gets resigned, until Bernard-Docker and Thomson are ready. Right D has been patched

Because Alex Formenton is really good, and Ottawa needs a solid D-man to let Chabot move freely, not Dougie. Maybe he's worth more than that for another team.

I mean Dougie while playing was legit one of the best RD in the league this year but I see your point
