Mid-6 speedy winger that has everything you want in player if you are Edmonton. He is worth a lot because he is very versatille and can be used in bunch of different roles.

Kapanen would be a 60+ point player playing on McDavid's wing.

Bear = Kapanen

Puljujarvi does not equal Liljegren. Maybe Bracco...

Edmonton signed kassian to that contract to play with mcdavid. He can’t produce on his own. Edmonton needs a LW more than a RW to play with mcdavid

Kapanen has so many tools that he can use to be effective player that he is more than just 3rd liner valuewise. Id do Bear + F prospect for Kapanen. But Bear isnt "worth way more than Kapanen".

Dude, Kap is a third liner on the leafs, Bear excelled as a rookie playing top minutes against tough competition. The value isn’t even close. Bear isn’t going anywhere. I used to like Kap till leafs fans overvalued him. Jeeze

This means nothing. The fact EDM has McDavid has no effect of any kind regarding Kapanen's perceived value...

If I were EDM, I'd hesitate moving Bear for Kappy, but if Bouchard is able to replace him, then I'd consider it.

I do agree though that Liljegren is too steep price to add on this deal.

And Kapanen would be 1st liner on Oilers. Thats the same argument. Im not overvalueing Kap. Just saying that he is worth a top-4 D like Bear.

Kapanen plays a fantstic two way game, and would be one of the few fowards in the league that could keep up to McJesus. This guy is a 70 point winger if he wasn't buried in Toronto.

I said something similiar about Connor Brown last year, and everyone thought I was off my rocker. 20 minutes a game and suddenly my assessment was right.

Kapanen's production is a product of depth and role bud, his talent is most definitely there.
