Is he more of a 3rd liner? Cuz from the games i watched, he shouldnt be close to a top 6 spot

He played much better on the wing and was still on a 41 point pace despite playing most of the year out of position

Its pretty good, i would move johansson to 3rd line wing and move kahun to 3c. Then move mittelstadt to rochester and find a 4th line wing. I know +/- is a garbage stat, but mittelstadt in rochester was a strong minus on a team where everybody else was pos. It sticks out, like he was being given center duties in the ahl and still was not getting it done. He had passable offensive numbers, which is encouraging, but he still has to prove he can be a center at the nhl level. If the only way we can have him here as a center is to give him 80% offensive zone starts, he shouldnt be here.

Are Thompson/Asplund/Ruotsalainen ready for a 4th line role or no?

Why wouldn't the pens just sign dillon themselves? Well they already have 4 NHL LD, so they're not trading for McCabe, gotta say I like the nucks trade too if they re-sign toffoli

Thompson was hurt for a good chunk last year, I say no not ready. Ruotsolainen I would like to see in the ahl too, he's small, which isn't a deal breaker anymore, but I would want to see him in the ahl to see how he responds to a physical game, at least for a few months. Asplund is probably ready, everybody seems to love him wherever he plays, but he just does not score, like at all. So asplund or cj Smith would be my pick from what's available, asplund is probably better suited for 4th line.
