Depth guy, can play the right or left side, low risk low reward signing, nothing to really hate about it

Spent last season in the AHL, was playing in the top Finnish league before that

I expect to see him in the NHL this year

This is a very good signing for us -- no downside, considerable upside (namely, fills the #3 RD slot competently). I thought he showed well in his brief audition at the end of the year. I thought Anaheim would give him a raise; bringing him in at $750 is a win.

It's because people expect their team to only sign superstar players.
