I think Senators should draft Drysdale. Don't know why you need multiple centres

That's very plausible, I just want Detroit to get Alexis Lafreniere. Then i'm a happy camper.

Regardless of position, they should take the best player, and if Ottawa can only drop as far as 3rd and 4th, there's no scenario where Drysdale is the best player available, in my opinion. Stutzle, Raymond and Rossi are all clearly ahead of him imo.

There is no need for Ottawa to resign Hainsey now that Zub is on the team, although I'd be happy to add him to the coaching staff in some capacity when he hangs them up.

Happy to resign Hawryluk but a BIG NO on Sabourin.

My thinking here was that in some way, the Senators end up with these draft picks, and in my opinion, Drysdale and Byfield are the second and third best players in the draft, but hey, everyone can have their own opinion. I like the thought of a pure number one center man, rather than a debate between Logan Brown, Colin White, Shane Pinto, and Joshua Norris. I also love the idea of a top pairing right shot defense man in Jamie Drysdale,

You're right about Hainsey, I wasn't really thinking. It'd be awesome to see him behind a bench! I loved how Jayce Hawryluk played this year, and I love Scott Sabourin, because he's a walking, talking meme!

There isnt a scenario where the Sens draft Drysdale. They spent their past 2 1st rounders on RHD and should select 2 forwards with 1 preferably a centre. 2 of Laf, Byfield, Stutzle, Raymond, Rossi should be the goal

Because Ottawa doesn't have a superstar centre. Norris is projected to be really good, but I imagine he'll be an excellent 2C, not 1C. If Ottawa can land Byfield and even another top centre, they solidify their chances of having an elite C-man develop in the coming years, in case one of them doesn't pan out. If they both do, say Ottawa drafts Byfield and Stützle, Stützle can play as a LW in the future with Byfield. I don't see why Ottawa would need Drysdale. He seems fine but really I never saw anything amazing from him. Sens have Bernard-Docker and Thomson as their top-4 RD, and they can draft other D-men with their many draft picks after their highest 2 picks. Regardless, I think Sens management will pick well wherever they choose.

Well said. Take the best player available, not positionally based. Also, Dyrsdayle would not be a good pick at #4, he's good, but he's not good enough for that to be a good selection.
