This year it was barely get into the playoffs. If it wasn't for the Panthers choking, they wouldn't even be in a playoff spot.

Theres no way Dubas can get out of this mess unless he turns a guy like Marner into something like Jones and Rakell or Parayko and Kyrou. Basically a Marner replacement in the top 6 on a great contract and a top 4 RHD also on a great contract whos a great dman

It's only going to get worse when they have to pay Rielly and Andersen. Especially considering he likes giving up quality picks and prospects only for the player they acquire to walk into FA. He has no idea how to asset manage.

How dare you say that the leafs should trade Marner or any one not named Kapanen or Johnsson for that matter. It’s actually funny the amount of hate you get when you mention trading Marner and making the Leafs better.

Seriously. Just as an example, my team could be so much better if i can fill 3 spots with Manson, Rakell and Comtois a combined 8 mill and sign another guy for 3 mill than 11 mill on Marner
