I feel like Ottawa is taking Drysdale no matter what with that second pick, assuming nobody reaches for him. Add that with Stutzle or Byfield.... that's hot. Gunler would be great at 19 but I think hes going way earlier

The GM that decides to pick Stutzle over Byfield better have big brass ones and be VERY right. Big skilled centers that can skate are rare.

Plenty of options at 19-21. Jarvis, Gunler, Holloway, Mercer, Zary, Lapierre, Amirov, Schneider, Quinn etc. Whoever drops, we will take.
I dont see Ottawa taking Drysdale. 2 elite forwards is too much to pass up. If Drysdale was more like Seth Jones than a Dougie Hamilton, id say 100% you take him. We dont need guys like that in Ottawa, we need Paraykos, Ekblads, Carlos, and Pesces

In the scenario that the Wings take Stutzle at 2 and the Sens get Byfield, I think it's best to send him back to junior another year. As high as the ceiling is for him, it's best for him to go back to junior for a year and dominate there. He needs to round out a lot of his game before making the jump to the NHL. While he might be able to handle a 3C role in the NHL, there's no rush and I think the general consensus is to give him another year to dominate the OHL and at the World Juniors will be much better for his development than the NHL is right now

I doubt you get Gunler at 19, but there is no denying that Ottawa benefits from the June draft format.

Ottawa could also trade up to get him or Jarvis or even Askarov, using one of their four 2nd round picks, depending on how high they are on either of those players.
