How good do u think bear is? What's ur ceiling and floor for him?

Nothing is certain but Bear looks like he may be a legitimate 3-4 defenseman. He certainly filled that role this past season. His analytics were not stellar but he should get better with more experience and I think he's cemented himself an important role in Edmonton. What is most outstanding is his calm demeanor, even when pressured. He seems to come up with simple, effective plays more often then not.

What is certain is that Bear is one of very few later round picks that actually turned out for Edmonton. Jones looks like another, and Marino would have been too if he'd agreed to sign last summer (Edmonton's loss is Pittsburgh's gain).
