The Only Matt Murray Scenario

Description
This become somewhat of a hot topic today based on some speculation report, which is now being pushed out by Adrian Dater and as soon as he is pushing it and no one else from the Avs beat, its 9 times out of 10 full of crap

But the Murray to the Avs at the deadline talk, this is the only scenario that makes any sort of marginal sense of why the Avs would look at it

They can lock up Murray probably for Cheaper and who is younger for a couple extra years taking him to UFA as an RFA while they wait for Annenun

Pens get statically the better goalie this year but who is a pending UFA after next season but would be cheaper than extending Murray while they open up cap space to keep Jarry

Other than that, there is no draw of why the 2 teams would do business for Murray outside of a keep cap hits down during their competitive windows

when he was working for the Denver post he legit posted an article about an "avs trade rumour" after he favourited a tweet from the HockeyInsiderr twitter account. That was his "unnamed source"

No. Avs don’t need a goalie, like I said in the description the only thing that makes even the slightest sense is gambling on Murray with a new contract that his cap hit will be cheaper than grubauer next deal and they can get similar results out of in

Graves holds way more value than Murray

Dater is a terrible reporter, he constantly click bait mongers and has no idea about today’s nhl game

When he was hired by BSN Denver before he thought he was a star and left to start his own failing pay wall site, he would ramble Non sensical old hockey man yelling at the cloud type coverage on their podcast.

I would trust an eklund rumour over dater and that should tell you all you need yo know about how bad he is at his job today

If Pittsburgh trade Murray it's because they see Jarry as their No.1 going forwards, in which case getting Grubauer back isn't ideal or they have another 1A/1B situation. As such I could see Pittsburgh asking for skaters or futures in return, and then make it a 3-way trade where Grubauer goes to a 3rd team (eg. Carolina, Calgary)

But now you're going to run into people thinking you're serious... but if it was a deadline deal we may have been interested but obviously joe was looking for a stop gap while grubauer was injured which is why he picked up hutchinson.. murray wouldnt go to the avs in the offseason as long as everyone is healthy

Read the description, this was from may trying to dunk on the dumb logic behind daters first attempt to peddle clicks on this idea
