Team: 2020-21 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: May 5, 2020
Published: May 6, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Easy way to read this:
Sergachev = Zac Jones (1st) + 2nd + the excess value from Pajuniemi over Yanni (similar cost to an offer sheet)
Gourde slightly retained < Pajuniemi
Contract amount comes straight from Evolving Wild

Trouba trade is slightly less value than Rangers traded to get him which was less value than he was worth in the 1st place since he was demanding a trade.

Faksa = 3rd (maybe slightly more but not worth a full 2nd)
Oleksiak = 3rd
So in this context Strome = 2nd + 2* 3rds

And the Berggren trade was unnecessary but fun. 2 former Yzerman draft picks that are both NHL ready for Berggren who is constantly injured and still needs SHL seasoning but has a decent ceiling (High Floor for a Boom or Bust type deal)

Also the Larsson and TVR contract amounts come from Evolving Wild.

I'm sorry. Maybe next time. I can probably come up with some low level prospect trade like Howden for Gregor if you like!

....Gourde is pretty good at this hockey stuff. Since the Rangers are basically dead last in most defensive metrics upgrading our defense both at the Forward position and the back end is a priority. Yanni is a very very good defensive F, he's needed.

Though if you don't want to deal Lemieux, I could swap him for Pajuniemi and probably drop a 3rd. Saves Tampa about 1.5 mil in cap anyway and Paju will have a tough time making it in NY past Gauthier, Kakko, Kravtsov, Buch.

Idkkk if I were them I wouldn’t take on another long contract I’d rather just bring back fast at cheaper to help the “defense” and I’d rather not trade puj who could become elite with the way he’s been playing. I’d rather just add a first into that trade and not have gourde in it and do something like lias a first and another piece in there.
