31 in 31 challenge Anaheim

Created by: eddyed24

Description
Doing the 31 in 31 challenge. One CBO per team.

I don't think they're going to be a big change in Anaheim. The team is on a rebuild and it's gonna be around Zegras and whatever pick they gonna take at the draft.
At the draft they pick 5th so they should take Raymond. They don't have much RW with great potential.
Howard time in Detroit is likely done he didn't have a good season last year but he didn't had a good defense in front of him, perhapa Anaheim takes a chance with him. Plus he's a great veteran for a young team. Gibson is the undisputed #1 so they clearly look for a backup.
Makura and Lundestrom serve as the 13 forwards, 7th defenseman.

you still don't have a proper backup... you signed a player with a 7.4% win percentage, 4.20 GAA and a .882 SV%.

They'll probably just call Stolarz up from the A, Guhle and Larsson don't get more than a mil likely, and the defense would be
Lindholm-Manson
Guhle-Fowler
Djoos-Guddy
*Mahura could (and should) get in over either of the bottom 2 LD, but if he doesn't he'd go down and destroy the AHL, and Hakanpaa would come up to be the 7th d
Also don't play Comtois on the 4th line

@AFOX10900 is accurate as usual: we have a perfectly acceptable backup in San Diego (Anthony Stolarz) unless something bad happens, without off-season adjustment the defense will look as he says, Comtois and Jones will probably alternate at #3 LW until that competition resolves, and fourth-line wings will be Des Lauriers and Rowney. No need to buy Backes out as he only costs us $2.5 million and he can center the fourth line.

Your idea of moving Larsson is a good one. He's shown that he is a viable NHL defenseman, even if only a third-pairing LD so far, but he will stick. The best possible outcome would be for Anaheim to trade him for an equivalent RD or prospect RD, or combine with a lower-round draft pick to get an additional 2020 second.

Getzlaf and Terry are passers-first, and they shouldn't play on the same line. Eakins had Heinen playing with Milano and Getzlaf before the interruption.

All in all, this is a very good effort by an outsider.

Thanks for the feedback I also thought of making a trade with NYI for either Ladd or Boychuk so Anaheim use their CBO on one of them and the other will be use by the Islanders instead of using it on Backes since he's got only one year left and Anaheim isn't in cap hell.
