Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Unrealistic? Who cares, none of us are actual GMs anyway.

-If the veteran goalies don't work out, we can still trade Labanc, a pick and a prospect for one.

-We still keep the two high draft picks

-I'm loving the idea of Fast and Ennis coming in with good skating ability, two-way sticks and adding a little scoring depth.

-Those trades probably won't happen, but oh well.

-Main changes are adding a new goalie pair, ridding SJ of Vlasic's contract, and having more than one RW who can play above the 4th line. If it doesn't work out, well then hopefully Sasha, Leonard, Dahlen, Blichfield, and co. can save the Sharks the following year.

Seems like a lot to give up for Stepan.
Doubt Montreal does that, maybe if the Sharks take Alzner back they'd consider it idk.
I wouldn't have any faith in that goalie tandem.

Montreal has 0 interest in Vlasic unless you buy him out first. That contract is way too long. Montreal wouldn't do this even if you retained 50%

That’s **** comment, 20-25 teams would be interested in vlassic at 3.5m a season! He’s worth a top prospect at that price he’s still a very good D man just not worth 7 a season
And at that retention the sharks balk since a replacement value DMan will cost at least 3.5 meaning it’s a wash for us cap wise

With the way he's trailed off in the past 2 seasons, nobody is going to want that contract. I'm sorry, but he's dead weight at this point.

He’s no longer the top defensive D-man in the league like he was but he is still valuable and a top 4 D man. Just not worth 7 if his cap was 4.5-5 he would have positive value

No he wouldn't. He's dropped off hard in the past few seasons and nobody knows what he is going to be like next year. He's simply not worth taking a risk on.

It was more to do with bad system implemented by the old coach. Once bob got promoted he started playing better and had a decent year this year.
