I can't see Montreal trading Lehkonen just yet. He's still very vital to the team. Maybe next year when Caufield/Our other prospects are ready to make the jump

Sens have a strong left side already, and they're probably re-signing Mark Borowiecki. I don't see why they would trade for Cole, even if he is a former Sens legend.

Zadorov won't get a 2nd IMO.

Also I think I'd keep Cole. I doubt Byram will be in the NHL immediately and maybe he needs the entire next season to adjust. Avs got the capspace to keep Cole and he'd still be useful on the 3rd pair or as a #7D

I think we keep Leckie to be honest...hes not expensive at all and puts up 20 pts every year but his incredible D ability on the PK and general Defensive game is worth keeping him. hes still only 24 years old so there is still tons of time for his offensive game to come together a bit more, maybe a 40pts guy down the road who knows.

he's only a little more salary than reilly and the sens can flip him at the deadline and they should be able to get their pick back.

i set the cap at the midway point between the cap and floor just to see if i could build a team with that. couldn't keep cole.

LA Kings need a LHD so the Zadorov move makes sense. They also have numerous picks and an incredibly deep prospect pool, so it's probably time for them to start fixing their D. Good trade fit, though I think Zadorov also gets a 3rd or 4th.

Solid trades overall. Don't think Columbus would want to part ways with another 2nd given that they're already short of 2nd's and 3rd's in the next two drafts.

That's not really much incentive. Sens could just keep their pick and not worry about whether they can get their pick back.

I'm sure someone would be interested in Cole, but it's not Ottawa.

good point. i do know they need a center and i think they would move a pick to get one but i'm not sure compher is that guy. should be interesting compher is in his 4th full nhl season so if he's going to breakout next season will probably be in.

It's less "need a center" as in any center and more "need a legit #2C". We've got plenty of guys who might be able to fill in as one in a pinch; adding another for picks we can't really afford to spare kinda sorta doesn't really help.
