Description
This would be for the start of next season. The Alzner buyout is if each team gets one conditional buyout based on the pandemic. I added in Holtz as there draft pick if they get #8 but its also the draft so who knows what happens and who goes where but I am just going for that now. Cap stays the same. The deal with MIN needs some work. I understand that it probably would not be worth it for them but will try to work towards something that could be fair. If anyone has some ideas of how a trade for those two players could work let me know.

I completely understand that. I am looking for ideas for what could make sense. Its a start if you have something thats actually helpful.

Nothing wrong with putting Kaprizov on the 3rd line to start off with, if it's a quality 3rd line. It would let him get his feet wet and make the adjustment to the NHL.

Dumba as a LD is setting him and the team up for failure.

This trade is really bad for MN. They decline instantly and without a 2nd thought.

If it was to be done I don't think Kaprizov starts on the first line. Might move up in the lineup as the season goes on.

Ya it probably is not ideal for MIN. I feel like Kaprizov is a prized possession that the Habs could be interested in based on the fact no stars want to sign in MTL. Any idea of a LHD that could be a reasonable trade target? Assuming Habs keep Weber & Petry as top two RHD.

Why dumba? Maybe taking Dumba out of the trade simplifies things a little. I think going for Kaprisov is a good idea.

Ya the more I look at it and it seems like Dumba is not a good idea. Forgot about the whole RHD thing. Kaprizov seems like a good risk but I am not sure how high MIN fans are on him.

It seems pretty high. Probably too high, realistically he is 23 yrs old and hasn't played an NHL game. He is one of the best players in the KHL but that doesn't always translate to NHL success.

Additionally, is Kaprizov even going to sign with Minnesota?

That would be my concern if I was MIN so trading him might be a good scenario. He has proven all he can in KHL so I assume coming to the NHL would happen soon. I would think if MTL could get there hands on him maybe he would sign based on Russian success in MTL (Markov, Kovalev & Kovalchuks love for MTL) and Romanov coming over.

Supposedly he's ready to sign with them. I think (pure speculation) they are trying to find a way around the NHL's last contract mandate about and new signings not being able to play this season if/when it resumes.

MN fans (and reportedly management) are super high on him. He's pretty much in the untouchable category right now. So unless there is an untouchable center offered up I don't see MN parting with him.

The wild are one of my least favorite teams and that is straight robbery. Actually that trade is a joke.
