Rebuild Overdrive

Created by: cunningham19

Description
IMO Ottawa needs to take the Isles first and possibly other picks to acquire a young player that has a year or two of development and NHL game time currently on their resume like Robert Thomas! I'd love to keep players like Paul and Hawryluk but with all of these draft picks some manoeuvring needs to be done to incorporate players like Chlapik instead of burying them in the minors and losing them for nothing via free agency or decreased value in a trade. It's time to see what some prospects are made of!

That is definitely not getting Thomas. With his ELC he is super valuable to St. Louis

Nothing here is even close to realistic
Like what @Gabriel11 and @Ragsandbluesfan said Thomas isn't coming for that low

I appreciate everyone's opinion here but if you read my description I said like Robert Thomas! I love the kid used him as an example. No one is untouchable and if I'm St Louis I'd be afraid of what his contract extension request will look like and have to worry about getting money off the books in order to keep him...

Minnesota would give you Victor Rask and Filip Johnson in exchange for Anisimov.

I'm not in favour of much of this tbh. I like the idea of getting Bozak though because he wouldn't cost us too much to acquire and we could recoup some of it at the trade deadline. I also think he's a good addition because I'm not 100% sold on Byfield will making the jump to the NHL next season and Logan Brown is always a question mark. Having Tierney, Bozak, Norris, Anisimov and Paul doesn't make us a playoff team or anything, but I don't think that should be the goal for next season anyway.
