Just trying to get him off the cap. What would you suggest, different team or different picks? He’s definitely worth at least a 3rd. Not familiar with Carolina’s farm system, so not sure what the receive for a B-level prospect.

Which portion of this do you find offensive? Just playing around with some stuff, all of this is dream-work anyway I figure so why not try out some different looks.

this is a bit right?
and if it isnt, well Kap is worth significantly more than that.

As a Leafs fan, I do believe Kap is worth a 2nd and a B-level prospect. I was trying to take my bias out of it and bring the price down a smidge, figured if I put the 2nd in there, I’d get raked over the coals for trying to fleece the Canes.

people here think Matt Dumba is worth a 1st line winger, you're allowed to suggest a guy like kap is worth his actual value. Which is also higher than a 2nd and a B prospect

True, I saw some of those Dumba trades and my skin crawled. Can I ask what you would suggest for a Kapanen trade?

(1) Kapanen turns 24 in the summer, Johnsson turns 26 in the beginning of the season.

(2) Kapanen's statistics are better, no matter which ones you consult.

(3) Kapanen is a RW, which is somewhat less common than lefties.

Ergo, Kapanen is worth a second and a prospect, on a sliding scale depending upon how high the pick is and how good the prospect is.

Even if you're a Leafs fan, you're allowed to be realistic.

He's clearly not as good as Rickard Rakell, though.

That’s why I figured Johnsson would be a good piece to have during the rebuild, still need to ice a competitive team.

I get it, but just not tradjng those top 3 rounds unless getting something back that is game changing. Yzerman has a history of scoring huge in 2-4 rounds, not worth it. Give you a middle prospect and a 4th that's about it, if not no go then
