Carolina would want a pick more than E Svech. E Svech is just not good

Tampa is not taking a cap dump and some picks for one of the best defensive players in the league

You’ll have to add on the Carolina trade because Svechnikov is still a project and Fleury seems to be on track.

Fleury is much better, you clearly haven't watch Fleury play this year.

TB is trying to keep Cirelli, Cernak and Sergachev. If they have to trade one of them it will have to give them enough space so there is no problem signing the other 2.

This deal here they end up less cap space than when they started meaning they will probably have to another one of the 3.

Ok but that doesn't really help Tampa they still have the same cap space and now they have to trade Cernak or Sergachev to get enough to sign the other one.

They trade Killorn, Hronek is still on an ELC. They don’t need to do anything after that and can sign Cernak and Sergachev

Hronek has a year left of his ELC. They could then trade some guys like Johnson and Gourde (idc what anyone says, there will be teams interested in those players) to resign sergy and Cernak. Getting Hronek buys Tampa time. The ONLY way I could see something like this happening is if Detroit somehow falls out of the top 3 and drafts Drysdale. But with how the NHL wants to give Detroit a guaranteed 2nd overall pick, this seems unlikely

You are right but Hornek for Cirelli 1 on 1 wouldn't work unless you trade another player.

Trading one of them still leaves work for Brisebois in TB. I asked for some insight from TB fans and GMs on here, and this is an approximate look at the cap situation (before they move anyone): https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1689179

It looks like TB will need to navigate about $10.5M in cap reduction by the start of the 2020-21 season. If teams are afforded the CBO option, that should move Gourde's cap hit out the door. But TB has no interest in moving Sergachev if they can help it, and moving Cirelli for picks (ie. getting no roster player back, especially a top 9 forward) changes this roster quite a bit.

Sergachev has established himself more than Cirelli or Cernak, and will likely need a big boy contract. Otherwise, he's going to be very tempted to consider offer sheets from 3-10 playoff contenders.

That is what I'm saying if TB has to trade one of the 3 it will most likely include Palate, Johnson or Gourde maybe 2 of them but there are playoff teams that would take Johnson for picks alone and then Cirelli with Palate or Gourd and problem solved.

Now the chance of Detroit trading Hronek isn't very likely considering he is their only 2 way dman and their best dman.

That's true but it doesn't really help much. One thing you hear over and over when watching an NHL game is how you need a 4th and sometimes a 5th player joining the rush to score consistently. All around team defense has gotten a lot better in recent years.

Tampa does not have to package Cirelli with Palat or Gourde in order to move either of those two players. Palat, Johnson, Gourde and Killorn are all solid 2nd line players and there will be teams willing to take and of them for picks and prospects or bottom 6 NHL ready players.

Lightning will do everything they can to keep Cirelli, Sergachev and Cernak before even thinking of moving them which would last resort. Also both Cirelli and Sergachev have both said in local media here in Tampa that they are happy and expect deals for next season to stay with the Lightning. If one of the 3 RFAs is dealt it will be Cernak.

Sergachev has said in the media he wants to stay in Tampa and expects a deal to get done. He is open to all kinda of contracts depending on where the cap ends up. Also he is real close with Vasy and Kucherov who took bridge deals to stay... you can see all three of them or two of them around Tampa together on any given day.
