Description

Gallagher : ok 7M it’s a lot but he earned it
Tatar : starting to get old, but he loves it in MTL. After Vegas episode, I don’t think a team will be welling to pay him 6M or more in case he doesn’t fit. Tatar fit in MTL so we can pay him.
Petry : He’s getting old and no teams will gave him terms, he’s no Doughty Burns Karlsson. 6M 3 years fair for both side
Danault : Same as Pageau, Danault is better defensively but Pageau score way more goals, even it out.
Lehkonen : Solid 3rd line winger, Bergevin and Julien loves him, he’ll get a raise with terms

Domi : take a chance and sign him 6M for long term
Mete : Bridge deal
Kotkaniemi : bridge deal
Poehling Evans Fleury Juulsen all under a million, they need to play in the NHL more than 30 games to get a raise

Yes, even Ylönen could make the team, that’s why I didn’t resign Armia, with Caufield Ylönen and let’s say one of Raymond/Holtz knocking at the door, I think he’ll leave for the free market

I would love to see Perfetti with Kotkaniemi and Suzuki with Caufield that would gave us a nice one two punch and we could keep Danault and Tatar together! Probably would moved Gallagher with Kotkaniemi and Perfetti and Keep Armia to play with Danault and Tatar. That would gave us a real good attack Drouin or Domi would be playing with Caufield and Suzuki.

Good job. But sincerely, I would trade or buyout Biron to keep a strong right handed winger like Arnia on the third line. Also move Lehtonen to the forth line would be great. Size is an issue in the playoff. Vejdemo is a wild card there and could be replace by anyother prospect.

This might sound controversial but after next year blow bleep up. Keep Gallagher at the right price, that contract will sink them. Trade Tatar and danault at the deadline if we’re not close or walk If we are close. Let the kids play.

I agree 100% and I’m not even a habs fan. Keep Gally at the right price, and trade a combo of Danault/Tatar/Petry/Armia at deadline for picks. Habs cant and shouldn’t resign all their major UFAs when they still are far away from contention. Get some young pieces and build for the future

We don’t know what he thinks. 4 in a row and 5 out of 6. If ur ever gonna have kk as a 1c he has to play. Give him and nick 20mins and run out caufield and this years pick for a bunch of mins as well. We will be sunk in mediocrity for ever

Kk is better but that doesn’t matter. Eventually u have to give them the keys and see what they can do. It’ll be a mistake to start giving out big, long contracts. Molson has kept him around to damn long and hopefully bergevin accepts the fact that to succeed in the future u have to sacrifice some present.

Yes,
I’d obviously keep some vets, petry on a short deal, Gallagher on a short deal. Tatar will get 6x6 in fa and that’s too much. Danault will get 6x6 and that’s too much.
Keep armia for size. But give the keys to the kids after next season

Then we’ll never be good. With what happen in Vegas, teams will be scare to sign him long term and big money when they know he might not fit and he’s getting old

If ur scared of one short stint in Vegas ur not a good gm. My point is this. If U start giving out long, bad contracts we’ll be average for ever. Go for it next year and if we miss “blow it up”. Give kk and nick 20 mins, Caufield and Perfetti/holtz/Quinn big minutes and see what happens. 2022 is stacked so if ur bad you can maybe get a beast. U don’t want old aging players sinking the young players. That the only way to ever get somewhere.
