Barkov is not close at all to Matthews or Eichel barkov has only had 80+ points once and only 30+ goals once it seems like he is a 75-85 points player which is still very good but Eichel and Matthews could Both top 100 points and 50 goals.

Barkov's one season high is higher than both of those two (96 last year) and he's also better than the two defensively. Only a complete idiot or people that doesn't watch hockey would consider Barkov weaker than those two.

I know there has been rumours of Viola wanting to spend less money but gee....Barkov is the LAST player they'll trade away (followed by Huberdeau and Ekblad). Ekblad is not in the league Huberdeau/Barkov but the Cats' D would've been much worse w/o Ekblad.
