way too much here.

White is a 4th line center on this team and he's over paid.
I think the penguins lose when they do White for Jugs straight up.
Brown is ok, but not worth everything attached here.
JJ probably brings a return back of a low draft pick. Not cost to move.
If the penguins could move 2 bad defense men last year, and get returns for both. They can move JJ at the minimum of not costing them anything.

These boards need to stop the repeat of last years trolling on the cost of moving defensemen. It's the most in demand position in the game. And JJ played well in a 3rd pairing role last year. A bit over paid for that role, but he played well.

i think white is worth a little more than you, and is young with potential
i also think brown is worth a little more than you and would be great on sids wing. i can see your points on both. except on jugs is injured way to much.

i 100 percent agree on JJ

BUD, Do you have any idea of how trading actually works?

Colin White should be brought up when discussing players like Dominik Simon or Teddy Blueger. Then you mention his $4.75M salary and everyone laughs.

Brown is a RFA and unfortunately, at 26 he decided to finally put up a decent year. So, much like White fooled "everyone" with his one good year in a contract year, Brown might have as well. Brown is a 3rd liner who is going to get more $ then he should because he clicked for a few months this year.

What's the point of dumping Johnson's contract is you are only going to bring in two worse contracts?

Where is Mr. Purple?

ya murray is an rfa coming off a bad year plus. who is going to ask for a significant raise. Jugs is a mostly injured way over paid 3rd line center. at least white is still young with potential.

Brown is the type of player that flourishes on Sids wing. fast grit with average scoring ability. the 1st traded at this past deadline by tampa would be luckily to get brown over the 2 players they got
