Ellis would be the perfect defenceman for you guys but man you'd be screwed with that goalie tandem.

Marner for Ellis and Tomasino and 2nd conditional

You keep Saros and we keep Andersen.

And Leafs dont trade Kapanen for much lesser player.

That bottom 6 is not that elite, Hall doesn't come that cheap, Hyman doesn't play RW, and that defense is gonna be very expensive in 3 yrs when Pietro/Ellis start to age.

The reason I don't want to trade Marner is because he is still getting better and is only 23. Paying him a lot makes sense because we're paying for his prime, but paying a lot for Pietro/Ellis doesn't because you're getting the bad years. Toronto doesn't need to win tommorow lol, their window is huge.

He choked in each game 7 and from january he has had a below .900 save percentage at 5 on 5 when hutchinson got like a .915 on 5 on 5 since then.

That 4th line is so slow we would get a delay of game penalty every time they went out to take a face off!!

Why would Nashville use their CBO on a goalie who’s making 5 mil for 1 more year when they have a 4th line center making 6 mil for 4 more years.... that’s a stupid management move from Nashville.. Turris is 100% Nashville’s CBO and Saros is the replan meant for Rinne in 2 years.. not sure they consider Anderson being a UFA when Saros is an RFA and they can hold onto him vs Rinne and Anderson being UFAs... that trade highly benefits Toronto and does nothing for Nashville.

The Preds won't make that deal. Cap doesn't work in terms of other necessary signings, and they won't buyout Pekka to make it work if there's a buyout option.
