Vrana= 0.75 ppg on a really good team. Liability 2-way, can't play PK and is older then Marner

Marner= 1.13 ppg on a good team. Very good 2-way, plays huge PK minutes, only 23, will likely continue to get better for next 3-4 years.

he is. He's gonna need 6M, but they aren't same level.

Vrana is better defensively than marner and he’s an elite goal scorer.

That's just a terrible trade for Washington. Vrana is a great goalscorer. 24 ES goals this season in 69 games, last year 23 ES goals. That are (close to) elite numbers. Marner is a bit underrated here because of his overpayment and because he's a Leaf. But Washington loses this trade. Marner isn't a need. They got their passing players in the top 6. They won't trade a valuable top 6 physical player and a really good ES goalscorer for it

I’d say marner is slightly better right now, but not by much. Marner isn’t that much better where Washington needs to throw in Wilson and a 1st

not my idea, I just like it from TOR's perspective, but I can see how WSH might not like it- I can also see how they might do it. Maybe without the pick swap, and maybe TOR throws something else in

maybe not the picks. I can agree with that. But there is a notable difference between the two players.

    Better defensively?

Then why tf are his DPS's **** and he never plays PK, while Marner spends huge minutes on the PK and is one of the better penalty killers in these league. And yes, Vrana scores more then Marner but barely and Marner is a crazy good playmaker.

    Marner>>>>>Vrana

Yes marner is better than vrana, I’m saying not by much. Which is why this trade is brutal for Washington
