Description
Could Turris be an option for 2C? I think he would work there although I don’t see Nashville trading him to another team in there division.

I do not think Turris is a solution. Would he really be an upgrade from Little?

I would rather offer sheet Cirelli tbh, it would be a great long term option and he is elite. we could probably go 6.5- 7 million on a 6 or 7 year deal and Tampa would have a hard time matching unless they made a bunch of moves

Okay but do we really think Cirelli will sign with the Jets? I just don't see it, Tampa will figure out their cap issues and Cirelli will sign a team friendly bridge deal.

I think the only realistic option is signing Haula as a stop gap, they really need to draft a center with their 1st round pick and hope he's ready two seasons from now or Roslovic or Copp turns into a 2C.

Yeah I think he would, because as it stands Tampa cant afford to give him the contract he is worth. All the teams in the league know what kind of cap situation there in so their not just going to take the players they want to give away easily. I firmly believe there will be an offersheet market for either Sergachev or Cirelli this year. Cirelli would be a great fit for the Jets, he is young and is one of the best two way centers in the league. There really isn't an excuse to at least try in my opinion

Sure try but I don't don't see Cirelli leaving Tampa for Winnipeg and the Lightning always figure out their cap problems, almost no one thought Point was signing a bridge deal that pays him less then $7M per but that's exactly what happened and I could see it happening again.
Also ya gotta think Tampa's GM must know that he can move out some contracts otherwise why would he of added two guys with term at the TDL, neither make big money but it's still another $2.75M he added to a team already facing a cap crunch, he must have a plan and I can't imagine it's losing Cirelli to an offersheet.

you never know man, all it takes is a try and i'm pretty much begging he tries that, if he could pull that off and resign Demelo we would be in great shape for next year. Like no one expected Aho to sign that offersheet last year, and Barzal is apparently willing to sign an offersheet this summer if he doesn't get what he wants, i think we could see some action and I would like Chevy to be proactive for once when this is a clear opportunity right in front of him. Just like Pietrangelo, do I ever expect him to sign here, no. However there is no reason not to try as that would be another huge upgrade for this team. Basically, this is the first offseason the Jets have had an a while with opportunity to make something happen. Not really an excuse to not see if we can make something happen.

You're betting that Chevy tries an offersheet on Cirelli?
Risk averse taking days off Chevy?.. Lol

It would be to much to ask of him to extend a modest offer to Demelo probably lol, but who knows maybe he surprises us one day

Yeah I really hope so. I honestly think Morrissey was having a pretty poor season until they got paired at the end of the year.
