Rangers trade

Created by: Sabres923
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: May 12, 2020
Published: May 13, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sabres will still get a good player in the draft. They need to start making progress, in fear that Eichel is going to want to leave. Which would push them all the way back in another endless rebuild.
Mittlestadt and Cozens will take face offs on their strong sides*

Sabres need to make an effort to build a team. Trading for other teams bad forwards like Sheary, Vesey, and Frolik hasn’t been working well. Sabres will still get a good player in this draft.

You are correct, except trading that pick for Strome isn't the best way to go about it

Pass on trading Risto for nothing. We could try and trade him for a center so that the Strome trade would be unnecessary. If that's the 7th OA pick, I would be interested though

We need that cap hit off the books. Plus no one is going to give up good players for Ristolainen.

Then why would we trade him? No one is going to want a 40 point, physical D eh?

With bad advanced stats probably not.

Strome would be second on the Sabres with points.. by a 9 point margin.

Strome just seems to have a season every 3 or 4 seasons, he's like a one hit wonder
