Hall on a one year deal

Created by: TheGuyInTheChair

Initial Creation Date: May 15, 2020

Description
I think this works out for both sides since Hall might be looking to increase his value by playing on a very good team after a very unimpressive contract year, and obviously he wants a shot at the cup. Now I'm not an Avs fan so I don't know much about the team but I think Burakovsky would be better on the right side and having Hall feed him one timers should definitely get him over 35 goals and give the Avs possibly the best top 6 in the league.

would be fun to watch but hall should take as much term as he can get with his injury history.

I do wonder if some UFAs will look at 1 year deals with the given economy crash/flat cap, with the hope that it will begin to bounce back after next season for them to sign a long term deal.

I agree and he won't have a problem finding a team that will give a long contract.

Definitely going to see a lot more bridge deals if the cap goes down

I made this point in a previous point somewhere else, and I do think not only will some UFA’s look for a 1yr deal, but teams will look to do the same using it as a tool to help them with not just the cap but the expansion draft. That all being said I think the big name UFA guys like Pietrangelo and Hall won’t take those short term deals.
