Great line but pretty sure Colorado’s top line could give it a run for the money.

Matthews is emerging as the best pure goal scorer in the NHL and especially with Tavares and Marner feeding him.

Edmonton only has 2 good players on their line while this power line has 3 allstars.

Really doubt you're getting an early 2nd for Johnsson.

Johnsson was MVP of Calder Cup Playoffs only a couple of years ago so i think he still has this kind of value. Interested in others thoughts on CapFriendly tonight?

The Ducks 2nd round pick will be around 36 to 40th overall, I just don't see a rebuilding team parting with a pick like that for a guy like Johnsson.

Especially coming off of a season ending knee injury leading to surgery’s. It’s not a shoulder, hand, wrist, etc. Knee injuries and back injuries are no joke for hockey players.

I think this team would be even better if you trade me Varly for a mid round pick wink

You seem to be really interested in Toronto's success. You should trade me Makar for Gardiner and a 4th. Maybe I'll throw in mikheyev if you do this right now.

I'd make the 4th into a 3rd if you make this trade before nick makes his picks but that's unfair because he might not ever do so

That's a great line, but calling it the best of the league is a stretch.

BOS 1st line will give it a run for its money...

Funniest things is that Bruins' first line cost 4 millions less than Matthews and Marner together 😂

Could be the third best line in their division.

Ya it funny how people seem to forget about the Bruins top line. The Bruins top line scores and actually can play defense. All 3 guys average 30+ goals over the last 3 years with Marchand & Bergeron being their top PK forwards.

Elite offense, below-average defensively tho. Would probably be 5th in the league

I think he's referring to the Nugent-Hopkins - Draisaitl - Yamamoto line. Best line in the league this year by goal differential IIRC.

Many people fail to realize just how good Tampa's and Boston's top lines really are.

Here are some of the league's top lines this year by goal differential per hour (GF/60 - GA/60 = GD/60)

Nugent-Hopkins - Draisaitl - Yamamoto: 5.29 - 1.51 = +3.78 (317:37 TOI)
Stamkos - Point - Kucherov: 6.04 - 2.50 = +3.64 (288:16)
Miller - Pettersson - Boeser: 4.22 - 2.11 = +2.11 (426:22)
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak: 4.06 - 2.17 = +1.89 (635:55)
Johnsson - Matthews - Nylander: 3.36 - 2.65 = +0.71 (339:13)

Name your favorite line and I'll pull the numbers.

If you're referring to Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen, they were meh this year.

3.31 - 3.31 = +0.00 GD/60 (362:49)

Last year they were better: 3.28 - 2.07 = +1.21 (841:52)
In 2017-18 they were elite: 3.88 - 2.18 = +1.70 (742:30)

That must be where they got their reputation from, because 2016-17 was terrible: 2.49 - 3.87 = -1.38 (216:58)

Out of curiosity, where do you get these facts?

Pretty sure injuries played a role in that decline
