Poehling is a 3rd line center best case scenario, maybe he can help on the 2nd if someone gets injured. Max a 40pts player with a good 200ft game. A little bit like Lars Eller. Mete doesnt even make the roster of a lot of team. He cant hit, protect the net, score or get assists. He doesnt really play special teams either. CLB already have a lot of good defensman too. Finally the first is not even top 10.

Would you Trade KK or Suzuki for something like Alex Texier, Ryan Murray, a 13th overall Pick and Oliver Bjorkstrand. And this comparison is not even fair because PLD is a far better player player than both of Them right now but its the closest I can think of with the habs.

Dubois is the heartbeat of the CBJ attack and you could make an argument he's their franchise player

Poehling is probably a bottom 6 C. He's been underwhelming aside from his debut

Mete plays the position that the Jackets organization is extremely deep at. He probably doesn't even crack their top 6 D.

Domi is a good player and that 1st is valuable, but CBJ won't be able to get a #1 C with the size and pedigree of Dubois with that pick. Options they will have would be undersized C who probably move to the wing in the NHL or the 2 swedes who are true wingers

There's a lot of significant assets in that deal, but none of them are sufficiently enticing to pry away PLD. He's too important to this team.

well I don't think my offer is insulting... in term of value I think I'm not far off, but it's the intangible that brings his value up for the CBJ. Those are hard to evaluate when you are not from the fan base. I'm sure MB will try to pry him away from CBJ.

He can try, but frankly there's a simple rule of thumb for PLD proposals - if, at the end of the proposal, the Jackets are without a current NHL-level #1C, it's rejected.
