This required a compliance buyout and someone taking Bozak (he won't be easy to trade in a flat cap. Cap room will be at a huge premium. He's a third line C making 5 mil)

I don’t think the Saad trade is needed. Sanford has emerged as a legit middle-6 option and Schenn probably slides to the left next year as well.

The Bernier trade is a massive no thanks. And not only can't you trade a 2020 1st at the '21 trade deadline, but we're not trading that pick for a player we don't need and can't re-sign.

Haha good catch. Didnt even cross my mind on the pick. Saad would be a perfect fit for the blues. Hopefully the cost isn't higher than that. I'm not sold on Sanford though. Hopefully you're right

As a fit, yeah he might be good, but we don't have room for him. Our top 6 is already overcrowded. Besides, we already need to focus on re-signing our own guys for the next two summers.
