Good job, 1.66 million in cap space to resign both Dahlin and Jokiharju who should cost about 14 million a season.

All to pay Brendan Dillon, Wayne Simmonds and Craig Smith 10.5 million a year

in a cap crunch, very few of those contracts can be traded.

cozens on the 4th line is a waste, especially with all forwards signed with term. no money for your very good young defensemen. and all for guys that arent worth it. for the cap hit. it will be a while for the cap to rebound.

also washington and arizona likely say no

If we could get that much for Johansson I think that trade would be made already.
You do know that on the Instigators on two separate days both Hutton and Ullmark said McCabe was the Sabres best defenseman and you are getting only a 3rd and 4th in return.
You know that since he joined the Sabres Montour has the best +/- of all Sabre D-men and I have to give up a 2nd to get Ellers who is 5 years older and only has 28 more pts than Montour over the last 3 years.
I have no comment about the last trade, it looks bad to trade away 3 defensemen and only get 2 #2 centers in return.
